#1 Downhill Skiing
The White Mountains is known for some of the best ski terrain in the east. Grab your gear (or rent some gear) and some tracks up on the hill.

#2 Ice Castles

#3 Alpine Adventures
Alpine Adventures offers guided snowshoe tours through the 300 acres on Barron Mountain in a General Group Tour which includes a brief Off-Road tour in the Pinzguaer 6-wheel vehicles and about an hour snowshoeing with knowledgeable guides. The Off-Road Pinzgauers also offer a 1-1 ½ hour tour without the snowshoe excursion, so hold on tight and enjoy the views. #4 Loon Mountain
Known for their downhill skiing and snowboard parks, Loon Mountain also offers several base area activities. Enjoy a 2-hour guided snowshoe tour along the Pemigewasset River or guided and self-guided cross-country skiing trails/tours available weekends/holidays at 10:00am or 1:00pm. At the Adventure Center, try out the zipline and fly more than 700 feet across the Pemigewasset River. Open weekends 10:00am-4:00pm. Reservations recommended. Also the outdoor ice skating rink is open until 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Skate rentals are available. #5 Mt. Washington SnowCoach
The 9 passenger Mt. Washington SnowCoach, powered by a 4-track, all-wheel-powered drive-train, transports guests approximately 4,200 feet up to tree line on Mt. Washington. Anyone can enjoy this unique adventure daily from 8:30am to 3:30pm depending on weather and snow conditions. Tours are about 1¼ hour long and depart from the Great Glen Trails base lodge at the base of Mt. #6 Muddy Paw Dog Sledding
Experience the landscape of the White Mountains off the beaten path this winter with a dog sledding tour. Muddy Paw Sled Dog Kennel has over 100 sled dogs, many rescue and second chance sled dogs, to take visitors age 2 and up on two to three hour tours in Jefferson, NH. #7 Cranmore Mountain Resort
There is a whole bunch of winter FUN to be found at the base of Cranmore Mountain which includes the Mountain Coaster. You can also soar 700 feet down the mountainside with a friend in the side-by-side seats of the Soaring Eagle Zipline. #8 Bretton Woods & the Omni Mount Washington Resort
For those that are adventurous, take a 3 hour Canopy Tour at Bretton Woods Resort descending over 1000 feet of elevation across a series of zip lines. Bretton Woods Resort also offers snow tubing daily through Mid-March 10am-5pm. Leave the boots at the car and lace up your skates and glide on the ice this winter at the Omni Mount Washington Resort. The Omni Mount Washington Resort ice skating rink, complimentary to hotel guests, is open daily from 10:00am-5:00pm. #9 Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center
Located at the base of Mt. Washington in Pinkham Notch, Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center offers winter activities and events for families, friends and groups of all ages. Enjoy Nordic skiing and snowshoeing and classic ol' fashioned snowtubing FUN. #10 Cross Country Skiing
Located in the quiet mountain village of Jackson, Jackson Ski Touring offers state of the art groomed trails designed to suit every taste and ability. The Base lodge is open 8am-5pm daily for Cross Country skiing and Snowshoeing. For an extra special and unique experience sign up for one of the Evening Full Moon Guided Snowshoe tours.
