The ghost of Christmas past for some of us may just be memories of the many curtailed activities of 2020:  but in Lincoln, the North Country Center for the Arts is returning their holiday tradition A White Mountains Christmas to the stage at Jean’s Playhouse.

Last December’s version was a streamed and much abbreviated streaming series – but with cautions in place (distanced seating and masking), the Playhouse will ring once more with the sights and sounds of a live, full staged production.  Most of the performers from the original musical production will return, including Catherine Cormier Martinez and Caity Jeanne Glover, both of whom appeared and entertained at NCCA’s recent ‘Taste of Jean’s’ event to launch their 2022 Season.  And the cast will be joined by a very jolly ‘White Mountain Santa’ himself, Robert Wetherell.

Written and directed by NCCA Producing Artistic Director, Joel Mercier, A White Mountains Christmas was conceived and designed to be a holiday celebration in traditional songs and stories that appeal to every generation.  “And,” said Managing Director, Lyn Osborne Winter, “Joel’s vision is as cozy as a Christmas hug, with familiar sights and sounds of the holidays meant to be savored live – and in person.  We’re very glad to be able to come together live this December!”

A White Mountains Christmas performs Saturday, Dec, 4 at 7:30 pm, with a matinee on Sunday, December 5 at 2:00 pm.  With distanced seating between parties, capacity becomes reduced, so advance ticket purchase is recommended.  Info and tickets available online at www.jeansplayhouse.com.

Also available online now are subscription passes and gift tickets; plus advance copies of Cooking CenterStage, a beautiful cookbook that celebrates the entire region with local recipes from restaurants and individuals, plus some NCCA performance celebrities, with illustrations and photos from all around the region.  And on December 1, the site will ring out with the public launch of all things 2022 at the Playhouse in the heart of the White Mountains.  Stay tuned:  but join the excitement live at Jean’s Playhouse in Lincoln, NH!
