On Sunday, February 22, 2026, endurance athletes tackled Ski, Shoe & Fatbike to the Clouds, presented by Delta Dental. This is a winter race up the snow-covered Mt. Washington Auto Road widely known as “North America’s Toughest 10K.” The event combined 4km of Nordic trail racing with a 6km mountain climb, averaging a 12% grade and gaining roughly 2,200 feet in elevation. Mother Nature was kind this year, providing gorgeous weather and a bluebird sky.
240 participants chose to compete on cross-country skis, snowshoes, or fat bikes. The race began in 1996 as a Nordic ski challenge and has evolved into a multi-sport winter endurance event attracting adventurous athletes from across the region.
Whether on skis, snowshoes, or fatbikes, this year’s race lived up to its reputation, testing the athletes as only Mt. Washington can. Congratulations to all racers, but particularly to the winners of each division:
Women’s Nordic- Elizabeth Disney, 1:08:41
Men’s Nordic- Will Meehan, 54:14
Women’s Fatbike- Beth Peterson, 58:04
Men’s Fatbike- Robert Campbell, 51:37
Women’s Snowshoe- Amanda Quinlan, 1:02:32
Men’s Snowshoe- Eric Blake, 52:47
Full results are posted on the Bullitt Timing website.
