Franconia, NH— Cannon Mountain announced today the promotion of Patrol Director Jeffrey Collins to Mountain Operations Director. In his new role Collins will oversee lift operations, snowmaking, grooming, patrol, trail crew, lift maintenance, and vehicle maintenance functions at the ski area. Collins will report directly to Jace Wirth, General Manager of Cannon Mountain and Franconia Notch State Park.
“Jeff has dedicated his career to this mountain, rising through the ranks and gaining the respect of his peers and superiors along the way,” said Wirth. “His experience in virtually every facet of mountain operations combined with a leadership style centered on team success and continuous improvement will power Cannon into a new and exciting time.”
Collins has 24 years of experience working in grooming, snowmaking, trail maintenance, lift operations, ski school, building maintenance, and patrol. He has served as the ski area’s Patrol Director since 2023.

Collins reports for duty in his new role on September 20th, 2024.
