November 25, 2024, North Woodstock, NH – Freezing temperatures in the forecast this week spark the start of something magical—construction on Ice Castles in North Woodstock, NH.
Mark your calendars! Advanced tickets will go on sale for the season on the attraction’s website on Tuesday, November 26, at 10:00 a.m. EST.
Advanced ticket dates are the dates Ice Castles anticipates being open based on historical experience in New Hampshire. If weather permits, Ice Castles could potentially open sooner or stay open later than the advanced ticket dates currently available for purchase. Additional open dates will be added as construction of the castles nears completion.
Later this week, ice artisans will begin harvesting and placing up to 10,000 icicles each day. These icy marvels are fused together and sprayed with water to create a towering frozen fortress, expected to grow to heights of up to 20 feet tall. This breathtaking winter experience will attract thousands of visitors throughout the season. Guests will be enchanted by a landscape filled with ice slides, tunnels, caverns, and intricate ice sculptures, offering a magical winter experience unlike any other.
Experience the thrill of the tubing hill, the enchanting Mystic Light Walk, and icy charm of the Polar Pub ice bar, where wonder awaits at every turn.
The frosty fun is set to open in early January, depending on weather conditions. Don’t miss the chance to step into a realm of a frozen fairy tale!

About Ice Castles: Ice Castles has been bringing fairy tales to life since its inception in 2011. Founder
Brent Christensen developed the patented process used to create Ice Castles while attempting to build a
winter playground for his kids in the front yard of their home in Alpine, Utah. The project drew crowds who
came out to tour Christensen’s frozen creation. Ice Castles has since turned into an internationally
renowned tourist attraction with multiple locations across North America.
