Cranmore’s signature winter event, Cranapalooza, is fun for the whole family, with events and fun taking place from February 17-24 . Whether you are there to ski, or just want to show up for the fun, there will be DJ dance parties in Schneider Square with C-more the Penguin, live music, outdoor entertainment, family activities, s'mores, fireworks on select nights and more!
Throughout Vacation Week there are shows for kids and adults. On February 17 , Beatles fans will enjoy the cover band Beatles for Sale . February 20 brings the joint talent of musician Steve Blunt and author-illustrator Marty Kelly for their show for kids; “Sing Along Read Aloud with Steve and Marty.” Audiences will be spellbound by Spidey-International TV Mentalist and Magician . Comedian Juston McKinney takes the stage on February 24 for a laugh out loud performance with jokes for New Englanders.
On February 18 and 25 , combine yoga, mindfulness, and the fresh air of the mountains during a Snowshoe Yoga Tour with Mt. Washington Valley Ski Touring. Ideal for beginners, the tour begins with warm up stretches, then an easy snowshoe walk, mixed with yoga poses, to complete the tour feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
On February 21 , kids can enjoy a parent-free evening eating pizza, bouncing over to the Adventure Center, where they'll spend the evening scaling the climbing wall and ziplining over the Pemigewasset River. Reservations are recommended.
On February 24, enjoy a 5-course, locally-sourced dinner, where each course is served at various stops on the historic, 200 year old property at Remick Farm. Get transported in time walking from each festively lit building and learn about the farm and the animals on site. There will be an outdoor warming fire, hot cocoa, and popcorn to take home.
On February 17 Ski Patrol and Ski School will journey down the hill just after dusk to form the Torchlight Parade . This is a great event that brings families and friends together on the ski mountain. On Feb. 20, join in on a Wildcat Mountain tradition and build your own “vessel” out of cardboard boxes during the Kitty Litter Cardboard Box Race . Go for the fastest run of the day, best decorated, best crash or judges' choice awarded prizes. Check Wildcat’s website for rule and information on how to pre-register for this free event.
On February 17 from 3-6pm head to Purple Tomato to enjoy some Napa Cabernets, delicious Chardonnay, a sampling of cheeses, and delicious local products.
