Planning a trip to the White Mountains with the kiddos? Here are five things to keep the kids (and the whole family), busy, entertained, and having a blast!
Weather Discovery Center -North Conway
This interactive science museum brings weather and climate right to your fingertips! Kids will love the air cannon, flow tank, and wind room, which recreates what it feels like to be on top of Mount Washington with extreme weather conditions. Pretend to be a weather reporter in front of a green screen and get the opportunity to connect live with an observer on top of Mount Washington.
With a variety of pottery pieces to choose from, this is an activity for every person in the family. Parents can preserve their infant’s hand and foot prints on a customized piece of art, and kids of all ages will enjoy choosing their favorite piece of pottery and then carefully selecting which color paint will complement their art.
Believe in Books Story Book Trail -Intervale
Believe in Books 100-Acre Wood has an incredible trail system, designed for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and nature observation. Kids will enjoy their Storybook Trail, which is a ½ mile trail with panels throughout that that features a children’s story book. Exercise your body and your mind and the kids will delight in seeing what will be on the next page.
