Halloween Fun in the White Mountains

Things are getting a little spooky around the White Mountains! It’s that time of year when ghouls, goblins, and jack o’lanterns run amok and visitors to the region can experience Halloween…White Mountains style. There will be thrills, chills, excitement, and fun for all ages.

Pumpkin The Ghoullog-Cranmore Mountain, North Conway (Weekends through October 28)

Beware, you’re in for a scare at the spookiest destination in North Conway. Navigate through four haunted scenarios, be chased through the woods, and meet with horror at every turn. This haunted tour takes approximately 60 minutes to complete and features over 15,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor terror. For families, or those not looking for the scare of a lifetime, Cranmore Mountain will also be featuring a family-friendly playground, and Cranmore’s Giant Swing, Mountain Coaster and Soaring Eagle Zipline will be open.

Pumpkin Return of the Pumpkin People-Jackson and surrounding communities (Through October 30)

Come see for yourself what Pumpkin People look like! Over 80 businesses and community members have Pumpkin People scenes on display your job is to find them all! Maps can be found at participating businesses as well as at the Jackson Chamber of Commerce.

Pumpkin Silly, Spooky Halloween Extravaganza-Santa’s Village, Jefferson (October 21 and October 28)

Santa’s Village gets a spooky makeover as it is transformed into a fun, Halloween Adventure! Children are invited to wear costumes for the “spookier” events for older kids and “fun” events for younger ghouls. Come celebrate Halloween in this welcoming and safe atmosphere. Rides will be open and Santa may even make an appearance!

Pumpkin Harvest Festival and Gathering of Jack o’ Lanterns-Littleton (October 28)

Littleton’s Main Street will be transformed into Halloween Headquarters during this annual festival. Events will be happening all day and include the Littleton Police Department’s Annual Halloween Festival, downtown trick or treating, a Zombie Walk, kid’s activities, a haunted house, and the Gathering of the Jack O’Lanterns where hundreds of jack o’lanterns light up the Ammonoosuc River.

Pumpkin Pumpkin Patch Express-Conway Scenic Railroad, North Conway (October 20-22 and October 27-29)

All aboard the Pumpkin Patch Express! Ride the vintage train from North Conway to the “Pumpkin Patch”, where kids can pick out the perfect pumpkin. Adults and children are encouraged to get festive and wear a costume.

Pumpkin Bretton Woods Wicked Woods Halloween Weekend-Omni Mount Washington Resort (October 27-29)

This annual Halloween event is family-friendly and fun for ghouls and goblins of all ages. This jam-packed weekend includes Halloween-themed kid’s activities, games, and crafts, spooky stories, movie showings, tarot card readings, Halloween Bingo, “Tricks for Treats”, and an adult Halloween costume party in The Cave.

Pumpkin Valley Halloween Celebration -Waterville Valley (October 28)

Waterville Valley’s town square will be buzzing with Halloween activities. Town Square shops will be hosting trick or treating and there will also be spooky food, drinks, and fun family-friendly Halloween games and activities. In the evening, head to the courtyard for Trunk or Treat. Cars will be decorated for Halloween and kids can go from car to car to “trunk or treat”.

Pumpkin Haunted Happenings at Settler’s Green-North Conway (October 28)

Settler’s Green Outlet Village will be hosting trick or treating in many of its shops. Children 12 and under are welcome to come with an adult. Look for the orange pumpkin sign in store windows to find participating stores.

Pumpkin Murder Mystery Dinner Train-Conway Scenic Railroad, North Conway (October 20 and 21, October 28 and 29)

Ready for a night of merriment, murder, and memories? Enjoy dinner theater at its finest aboard the Chocorua or Hatte Evans dinner trains and participate as much or as little as you would like with the cast members during this zany evening.

Pumpkin Rocky Horror Picture Show-Colonial Theater, Bethlehem (October 28)

The Colonial Theatre presents a showing of the movie, The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Before the movie, enjoy a cash bar, hors d’oeurves, and a chance to mingle in costume. Typical Rocky Horror Picture Show “antics” are encouraged and expected.
