We're quite the festive bunch here in the White Mountains and know how to celebrate the holidays. We've got tree lightings, sleigh rides, tasty treats, parades, and most importantly...Santa. Take a look at all of the fun things we have planned for you this holiday season.
31st Annual Holiday Parade-Littleton Nov. 24
Join in this day of holiday fun in Littleton with while enjoying exceptional shopping and eateries during the 31st Annual Holiday Parade. The parade begins at noon, and will make its way down Main Street. A festive way to kick off the holiday season and say hello to Old Saint Nick!
Join Santa and his elves on this holiday train ride. The station and train cars will be completely decorated for the season. Santa will be on board for each train ride to hand out gifts to the children. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served as well. Advanced reservations recommended.
Holiday Weekend Events-AMC Highland Center-Crawford Notch-November 24 & 25
The AMC Highland Center will be hosting several holiday events after Thanksgiving. On Friday, November 24 from 1-3 come make your own holiday wreath! For only $10, you will receive all of the materials to make your own beautiful homemade holiday décor. On Saturday, November 25, from 10-3 take advantage of Small Business Saturday at the Holiday Artisan’s Fair. Local artisans will be showcasing and selling their crafts. Take home the perfect, unique holiday gift. Vendors will include jewelers, potters, knitters, and more.
Ride the rails with Santa and his elves on this hour-long seasonal train ride. Get your picture taken with Santa and enjoy hot chocolate and cookies.
Welcome Back to Winter Party and Santa Arrives By Dogsled-Waterville Valley-Nov. 24 & 25
Learn what Waterville Valley has in store for the 2017-2018 season while attending this family-friendly reception on November 24. Appetizers, drinks, and desserts will be served and the kids can enjoy cookies and drinks while they watch a movie. Santa’s traditional arrival by dogsled will take place on November 25 and will be bringing gifts and candy. Hot cocoa and cookies will be on hand and a raffle for an assortment of prizes will take place. The tree lighting ceremony will happen at 7pm followed by fireworks!
Journey to the North Pole-North Conway and Lincoln Weekends Nov. 24-Dec. 23 (Afternoon and Evening Performances)
The Believe in Books Literary Foundation once again brings this magical train ride to the White Mountains. Families will “Journey to the North Pole”. Hot cocoa will be served by Santa’s magical elves along with some of Santa’s favorite treats. Once the train arrives at the North Pole, guests will get to listen to a dramatic reading of “Twas The night Before Christmas” before returning back to the station.
Traditionally Yours Celebration-Jackson-Nov. 24-Nov. 26
The town of Jackson welcomes you to celebrate the holiday season with the official kick off on November 24. Businesses in town will be offering open houses, holiday drink tastings, food samplings, storytelling, and more. On November 25, Santa will pay a visit at 4:30 PM at the Jackson Village gazebo, and on November 26th come to the annual Ole' Fashioned Tree Lighting Ceremony with a special invitation back to the Christmas Farm Inn & Spa for their annual open house at the Barn. The first 20 guests will receive a special Christmas hat.
Christmastime at Santa’s Village-Jefferson-Weekends Nov. 24-26 and Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 17
Santa is opening his village to boys, girls, and their families for the Christmas season! One of your favorite summer attractions will be transformed and decorated for the season, and Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there to offer up some wassail and possibly a photo or two. The shops will be open for holiday gifts and the classic 3-D show entitled "A Tinkerdoodle Christmas" will leave you laughing at the antics of L. Fastidious Tinkerdoodle as he prepares Santa for his yearly journey. Be sure to stay until after dark to take in the beautiful, and warm light displays that fill the park.
Great Glen Craft Fair-Great Glen Outdoor Center-Gorham-November 25
Enjoy freshly baked goodies, enter a craft raffle, and watch demonstrations by local artisans. Crafters will be exhibiting on 3 floors and include woodworking, photographs, wreaths, jewelry, specialty soaps and lotions, and more.
Head to Schouler Park in North Conway for an evening of Old Fashioned Christmas Festivities. Listen to caroler’s, watch Santa light the tree, and stay for a special reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” where cookies and hot chocolate will be served. The Weather Discovery Center will be open for attendees during the reading.
Hometown Holiday Celebration and Parade-Plymouth-Dec. 1-3
Activities throughout the weekend include wreath making, Festival of Trees, 5k Jingle Bell Run/Walk, Kids Holiday Bash, Cookie Creations with the Elves, Skating with Santa, Holiday Carol Sing-Along, Holiday Parade, Visit with Santa, Bonfire and BBQ, and fireworks!
Homestead Christmas at Remick Country Doctor Museum and Farm-Tamworth-Dec. 2
Step back in time and learn how Christmas might have been in the 1800’s. Take a tour of the Captain Enoch Remick House, decorated for the holidays, and enjoy holiday-tastings of wassail, roasted chestnuts, and gingerbread. Visit with the farm animals, watch cooking demonstrations, and kids can take part in a homemade holiday craft.
Holiday Festival and Tree-Lighting-Settler’s Green-North Conway-Dec. 2
Settler’s Green will be hosting fun, festive holiday events from 10am-2pm. Events include, From horse-drawn sleigh ride loops around Settlers Green every 15 minutes, free hot chocolate and candy canes and snow tubing at Settlers Green’s own snow tubing hill created by Cranmore Mountain Resort. There will be caroling by local singers and photos with Santa. From 2:00-4:00pm, Join Santa Claus for the Tree Lighting at the Gazebo. There will be music, hot chocolate and you can enter the raffle for a chance to win a $500 Shopping Spree.
Stop by the Littleton Coop for a day of holiday festivities and delicious treats! From 12-3, sample products from some of their favorite vendors. Santa will also be making an appearance, so make sure you bring your camera to get that perfect shot for your holiday cards.

A Christmas Carol: The Musical Ghost Story is a “ghostly” musical adaptation by Joel Mercier of the famous Charles Dickens classic featuring all your favorite characters, original music, spooky ghosts, and some unexpected twists and turns! Bright costumes, lively music, incredible choreography, and special effects bring new life to this adaptation.
Inn to Inn Cookie and Candy Tour-Mt. Washington Valley-Dec. 9 & 10
Visit 11 inns in the Mount Washington Valley and taste delicious cookies and candy while admiring the beautiful holiday décor. Take home a collection of scrumptious recipes in a keepsake cookbook, and get in some holiday shopping as inns will feature artisans and vendors. Demonstrations, artisan sales and gift ideas will be featured at each inn. If you stay at one of the inns on the tour, you will receive a custom-made keepsake ornament. Tickets must be booked in advance and two-night Cookie Tour packages are available.
Harvest Your Own Tree at the Rocks Estate-Bethlehem- Now through December 24
Enter what some people call “A Modern-Day Normal Rockwell Christmas Scene” and start a new tradition with your family. Take a horse drawn wagon ride out to a stunning field of trees. You can choose to tag it, or cut it down yourself. When you’ve finished finding the perfect tree, roast some marshmallows over the fire pit, and browse the unique gift shop where you will find amazing rustic, country, and local gifts for yourself and your loved ones.
