Conway, NH (December 31, 2019)—Mother Nature has been good to New Hampshire ski areas, which revelled in a new blanket of snow laid down by the New Year’s Eve winter storm that hit New Hampshire starting on Monday, December 30th through Tuesday, December 31st. With snow totals reaching up to 13" through the course of the storm, many of the Granite State's ski areas are 100 percent open, or very close to it, heading into 2020.

CONWAY, NH (December 18, 2019)—Tuesday’s snowstorm blanketed New Hampshire’s ski areas in up to 6 inches of fresh snow. In addition to the storm, the recent cold temperatures have allowed ski area operators to recharge their ski areas through continued snowmaking efforts which have added substantial depth to open ski trails and further expanded open terrain. With December’s school vacation week just on the horizon, ski areas are hopeful for continued snow and great ski conditions as a result. Special events fill the calendars at the ski areas for the upcoming holiday break, and accompanying ski and stay packages encourage travelers to enjoy more time in New Hampshire.

The fourth-annual New Hampshire ATV Day, more formally known as the Gerry Pomerleau Memorial Ride, was held on the legendary Mt. Washington Auto Road, with 1,300 ATVs making their journey to the Northeast’s highest peak at 6,288 feet.

Tamworth NH -- The Barnstormers Theatre of Tamworth, New Hampshire’s oldest summer theatre, kicks off its 2019 season on June 27th with a performance of “Damn Yankees” sponsored by the Mount Washington Cog Railway, the oldest mountain-climbing railway in the world. To celebrate the railway’s 150th anniversary and the opening of the show, the theatre and the railway have partnered with the Tamworth History Center, Tamworth Distilling and Art in the Age Café for evening of art, history and local offerings. Surrounded by farm fields and bordered by a meandering river, with plenty to see and do along Main Street, Tamworth Village is an experience not to be missed.

Pinkham Notch, NH - Two of the Granite State’s premier running races kick off summer at Mount Washington. On Saturday, June 8, a field of 109 runners took the start at Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center for the 10th annual There’s a Black Fly in My Eye 10-Mile Trail Run and Relay. This coming Saturday, June 15, over 1,300 runners from around the world will tackle the legendary Mt. Washington Auto Road for the annual Northeast Delta Dental Mount Washington Road Race.

Ice Castles will return to New Hampshire for its sixth season, but it won’t be at the Hobo Railroad in Lincoln this year. Instead, the icy experience has moved to a new, permanent location just a few miles away on Clarks Farm Road in North Woodstock, New Hampshire.
