Calling all actor-types and local theatre enthusiasts! Be a part of our next Playhouse Players community theatre show, The Art of Dining, performing May 19, 20 & 21. This comedy by Tina Howe tells the story of Cal and Ellen, the owners and sole staff of a small, elegant gourmet restaurant. Cal’s main preoccupation is paying back the $75,000 it cost to start it up, which means packing in the customers, while Chef Ellen is preoccupied with the food’s quality... and stopping Cal from sampling all the ingredients. Meanwhile, the diners act out their own private dramas over dinner and their conversations are exquisite burlesques of contemporary attitudes. Auditions will be at Jean’s Playhouse on Sunday, March 19 from 3-5 pm and Tuesday, March 21 from 6-8 pm. Interested performers need attend only one date of auditions. For more information, contact Vicki Etchings at email@example.com.
