Cannon Mountain Ski Area will offer daily scenic rides to the mountain's summit on its historic tram for non-skiers between December 26, 2015 - January 4, 2016. “This is already something we offer when the tram is running for skiers,” said John DeVivo, Cannon General Manager. “We decided in advance to run the Tram for scenic rides whether there is skiing available from the summit or not. It's a great experience for skiers and non-skiers alike.”
For those wishing to ride Cannon's Tram during the holiday week, operating hours will be 8:30-4pm daily with the last ride up for non-skiers @ 3:15pm. The summit's Café 4080' will be open daily, offering soups, sandwiches and a full lunch menu along with a bar that boasts the “highest beer tap in New Hampshire.” Tickets for non-skiers are $19 for ages 13+; $16 for ages 6-12; free for ages 5 and under with a paid adult. Valid ski area day-ticket holders and season passholders can take advantage of the scenic rides for free, but Cannon plans to offer skiing access from its summit as soon as possible during the holiday week. Cannon skiers should check the online snow report at: http://www.cannonmt.com/snow-report.html.
“We're looking at much colder temperatures favorable for snowmaking beginning Sunday night and our focus will be adding or improving skiing from our summit as well as making snow wherever possible from our mid-mountain down to get our guests the best possible experience over the holiday week,” added DeVivo.
Cannon has also rescheduled its Family Fun Night from Saturday, December 26 to Saturday, January 2, 2016 which will include fireworks and torchlight parade. More information can be found at http://www.cannonmt.com/events-schedule.html
