Jean’s Playhouse in Lincoln presents an evening of top comedy from the thriving Boston stand-up scene on Sunday, October 13 at 7:30 p.m. Host, and comedian in his own right, Greg Boggis will be on hand with headliner Steve Bjork and featured performer Steve Guilmette.
Bjork is a polished veteran of the highly competitive Boston arena, and regularly performs around the country. Not only is his material both intelligent and absurd, it’s incredibly funny and while the humor is colorful, the language is not: he takes everyday life to craft anecdotes and observations that are immediately accessible and relatable. From the supermarket to recess to an elevator ride, he crafts incredibly hilarious takes on situations and people. Even cannibals. In addition to performing at tops clubs across the country, Steve Bjork has perfomed with Steven Wright, Tommy Chong, and Dave Chapelle – plus opened for the musical Platters.
Steve Guilmette brings a raucous wit and an everyman’s sensibility to the national comedy scene. He was chosen and competed in the prestigious Boston Comedy Festival, New England has welcomed him on many stages; and his act is popular wherever he takes it in the U.S. Guilmette has worked with top popular comedians, among them Gilbert Gottfried, Jimmy 'J.J.' "Dyn-O-Mite" Walker, and Frank Santorelli, plus appeared on many a regional television show.
Greg Boggis is a popular comedian and comedy producer for Jean’s Playhouse, performing frequently and familiar to Boston and NH audiences, and will have plenty of his own material as he hosts the evening.
