North Conway, NH…….. Everyone is invited to ride the FUNraiser Express, departing from Conway Scenic Railroad at 3:00 p.m. on November 4th and stopping at the “Pumpkin Patch” in Conway for treats and fun. This event will benefit the White Mountain Community Health Center, which has teamed up with the Believe In Books Literacy Foundation and Story Land to put the FUN in fundraising.
White Mountain Community Health Center provides comprehensive, high-quality primary care services and health education on a sustainable basis to men, women, and children in the Mt. Washington Valley community, regardless of ability to pay.
At the mini-festival in Conway, there will be free donuts, hot drinks for sale, free books for kids, and entertainment, including a juggler, Story Land characters, and live music from Puckerbrush, who will be playing a variety of old-time traditional, Celtic, and French-Canadian music. The band features Jeanine Loubier on fiddle, Peter Kimball on guitar, and Greg Huang-Dale on hammered dulcimer.
“We partnered with the Conway Scenic Railroad for the first time in 2015 to create a new event that was also lots of fun,” according to JR Porter, Executive Director of the Health Center. “It was so successful that this is the third year for the event. We hope our local friends and clients will join us on Saturday to help raise much-needed funds for our health programs.”
