‘ROOMFUL OF BLUES’ TO OPEN ARTS JUBILEE’S 2018 CONCERT SERIES

North Conway – The 2018 Arts Jubilee Summer Concert Series kicks off this Thursday, July 19th at 7:00 pm outdoors at Cranmore Mountain Resort. The first concert will feature five-time Grammy-nominated American blues and swing revival band, Roomful of Blues.

For the last 50 years, Roomful of Blues has toured the globe and recorded over 25 albums, establishing themselves as a recognized leader in their genre. Even though their lineup has changed throughout the years, Roomful of Blues has always been one of the tightest, most joyful blues ensembles around. Currently an eight-piece unit led by guitarist Chris Vachon, Roomful of Blues “has never sounded fresher or stronger.” The band’s winning combination of jump, swing, blues, R&B, and soul remains their calling card, as does their ability to fill the dance floor. The Kelly Karuzis Band will be the featured local opening act at 6 pm. Concert admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors (65+), $5 for students, and free for kids 12 and under. All ticket sales are at the gate (cash or credit). There’s plenty of free parking on site, food and beverages will be available on the Zips Pub deck, and there will be a raffle for a variety of great prizes at each concert. Seating is not provided at the venue, so concertgoers are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket. Animals are not allowed on the property except for leashed service dogs. All concerts are rain or shine. For more information visit www.artsjubilee.org.
