‘Timeless’ Attraction of Extreme Skiing on Film Showing in Lincoln

Whether or not you’re a skier or snowboarder, the 70th film from Warren Miller Entertainment, “Timeless”, presented by Volkwagen, will carve out the excitement of extreme skiing and snowboarding in snowy regions around the globe. Couple the film with host (and extreme skier himself) Dan Egan, and you won’t want to miss the film on December 30 at Jean’s Playhouse in Lincoln.

“Timeless” offers exciting film montages and features ski legend Glen Plake at Mustang Powder in British Columbia, Jim Ryan and Austin Ross transported to remote locales via Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing, and follow the action in segments filmed from Switzerland, Austria, and locations like Eldora, Silverton and Jackson Hole among others. Travel from the Rockies to the Alps and follow all the top athletes featured in this fast-paced film.

Two showings, at 4:00 and 7:00 pm, are hosted by Ski Hall of Famer Dan Egan who appeared in a dozen of Warren Miller’s breathtaking films. Egan, with his brother John, carved out a reputation as world-renowned extreme skier: the brothers jumped off the Berlin Wall with skis in 1990, skied Mount Elbrus and filmed in Red Square during a Perestroika protest, ripped turns in the Julian Alps in Yugoslavia a week before the civil war in 1991 and skied with the Kurds during the first Persian Gulf War in Turkey. In 1993, they went to the Middle East to ski in Lebanon and skied the volcanoes in Kamchatka after the fall of the Soviet Republic.

A resident of Campton, Egan served as executive director of Ski 93 and also was GM of Tenny Mountain. Since 1991 Egan has run ski camps and clinics around the world teaching thousands of skiers the “Secrets of All Terrain Skiing”; and now channels much of his boundless energy into action sports marketing and consulting to some of the world’s most recognized and iconic brands.

General admission tickets to the 4pm and 7pm showings at the North Country Center for the Arts/Jean’s Playhouse are available online now at www.jeansplayhouse.com, and the $23 per person admission includes special give-aways for each and every ticket holder.
