Overlapping winter break vacations in the North Country offer plenty to do outdoors – and inside with top headliners coming to Jean’s Playhouse in Lincoln Feb. 22, 23 and March 2.
Friday, Feb. 22, international star and spellbinder Spidey the Mentalist weaves his magic with his “Make Believe” show onstage live. His eerie mental demonstrations may border on the supernatural, but the magic comes from some mind-bending demonstrations of his mentalist powers and showmanship. Spidey has appeared on America’s Got Talent, was a finalist on Canada’s Got Talent and has been nominated as both Canadian Magician of the Year and Variety Entertainer of the Year – see him live and discover why this YouTube star has over 5 million viewers. Juston McKinney defines NH comedy – and beyond. The popular comedian returns to the North Country’s Center for the Arts at Jean’s on Saturday, Feb. 23 with his one-man riotous take on just about everything. McKinney’s appearances on Comedy Central, the Tonight Show, and on Conan O’Brien’s show have made his audience the world – but live and in person, his humor delights audiences each and every time from coast to coast. Juston is always a popular draw: advance tickets recommended to the 7:30 p.m. show.
Greg Boggis’ Boston Midwinter Comedy show begins at 7:30 p.m. on March 2. Boggis is house comic at the Playhouse and a comedy event producer bringing superb Boston area headeliners to the stage. Featured comic, Andrea Henry, has appeared on Nickelodeon’s Search for America’s Funniest Mom and Last Comic Standing, participating throughout the country in comedy festivals and showcases. In addition to her standup, she writes joke for Us Weekly Magazine’s Fashion Police and is the co-author of Real Kids Jokes by Real Stand-Up Comics.
Headlining on March 2 is Ray Harrington, whose infectious humor has charmed audiences around the globe: live, on radio, and streaming and broadcast. Ray mixes irreverent material with improvisational riffing, addressing the absurd and hilarious with a smile.
