North Conway, NH…….. All aboard the Conway Scenic Railroad for some great family fun! Located in the center of North Conway Village, the Conway Scenic Railroad will offer three events during the last two weeks of October.

The “Pumpkin Patch Express” runs on Friday, Saturday & Sunday, October 17, 18 & 19 and October 24, 25 & 26. All departures are from the North Conway Station for a leisurely roundtrip train ride aboard vintage coaches to the White Mountain Cider Company in Glen, where each child can visit the “Pumpkin Patch” and select his or her own pumpkin. On both weekends, departures will be at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. On Saturdays only, there is also a 3:00 p.m. departure. Adults and children alike are encouraged to get into the spirit dressing in their Halloween costumes. Coach, First Class, and Dining Car seating are available.

Sunday, October 19, will mark the end of Conway Scenic Railroad's Notch Train service for the 2014 season with a special fundraising excursion, The Autumn Express. Hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Mt. Washington Valley, the trip will benefit local children's charities supported by the club, and the public is invited to participate.

The train departs from the North Conway station at 11:00 a.m. and returns at approximately 4:00 p.m. Included in the excursion is an hour's layover at Crawford Station, which is across from Saco Lake (a small pond from which the mighty Saco River originates) and adjacent to the AMC's Highland Center. Passengers are encouraged to get off the train, stretch their legs, and explore their beautiful surroundings. Lunch is available on the elegant dining car, Hattie Evans, and tasty hors d'oeuvres will be served by members of the local Kiwanis Club.

Death at Club 54 - It's a Groovy Kind of Murder comes to Conway Scenic Railroad on October 24 & 25, and October 31 and November 1. Dust off your bell bottoms, platform shoes and disco balls and get ready to get down tonight at the trendiest dinner club this side of “Funky Town.” We're all going for a ride on the “Love Train,” and “Stayin' Alive” will be the order of the night as the drama unfolds, and murder “Turns the Beat Around.”

A collaboration between Conway Scenic Railroad, Arts in Motion Theater Company, and local inns, this event is for adults only. The train departs promptly at 6:00, but plan to board early and enjoy a cocktail in one of the Railroad's beautiful dining cars.

The $125.00 fare includes First Class seating for the 3-hour train excursion, a 4-course dinner off the menu, live theatrical performance, taxes and gratuities. Beverage service and gratuities are additional.
