The North Country Center for the Arts in Lincoln invites flappers, fellas, and armchair detectives to join them for an evening of ‘Murder, Mayhem, & a Speakeasy Scandal’ on Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Woodstock Inn Station & Brewery.
It’s the annual February fundraising event for the home of Jean’s Playhouse, with dinner and interactive show styled for the 20s. Actors from the Murder Mystery Company offer an immersive theatre experience as they set the stage for attendees to follow the action, collect the clues, and solve the mystery. Highly trained and experienced improv actors make up the cast, and are among the 3,000 plus actors who perform in 20 or more states/regions around the country. And this will be the troupe’s third appearance with the annual fundraiser for Jean’s Playhouse.
The action and mystery take place with the Woodstock Inn standing in for Dunn’s Speakeasy. At Dunn’s, a 1920s mob wedding is about to commence: and with two ‘families’ merging, tempers – and bullets – might fly. Flappers and molls, gangsters and guys, are welcome to get in the spirit of what promises to be roaring good full.
A complete buffet meal, all the entertainment, plus cash bar and some specialty basket raffles are all includes in the per person cost. Advance tickets and more info at www.jeansplayhouse.com; or phone 603-616-7554 for table discounts and reservations.
