Are you sick and tired of the constant terrible dark messages of fear, hate and greed coming from the current American leadership? Well, attraction owners Mike and Dayna Boudreau have had enough and wanted to do something to spread some much needed joy.

This year Canadians are unified in their boycott of America primarily due to the ridiculous threats made by the White House to take over Canada. Mike explains their reasoning for offering free admission to their Canadian fans, “After 27 years, our attraction has become an annual tradition for lots of people including an increasing number of third generation mazers. Many of our Mazers come from Canada and it really bothers us that they have to choose between supporting their Country’s financial boycott of the American leadership or cross the border to continue their tradition of visiting our attraction. So, we decided to make it easy for them this year. Because we sell 90% of our tickets online, we know which Canadians have made our attraction a tradition and we have emailed those specific people and offered them free admission if they are willing to cross the border to continue their tradition of mazing with us.”

This was and was not an easy decision for the Boudreau’s. While operating a large destination attraction their family also runs their 5th generation farm and raise almost 200 head of grass fed Lowline angus beef cattle. “The increasing cost of everything is putting local farmers out of business all over and the expenses for our attraction have skyrocketed as well. So, while we cannot financially afford to be giving out free admissions we also felt we had to do something to brighten some lives and bring some joy to our corner of the world”.

When asked why they decided to make this offer despite the financial loss mike explained, “I’m 58 years old and typically work 12-16 hours a day 7 days a week every year to keep our attraction and farm going. I have worked with the general public for the past 30 years. When you watch any media, and especially if you listen to what is coming out of the White House, it looks like the world is full of fear, hate, ignorance and greed. I stopped tolerating “stupid” a long time ago, so if that was really the case I would have closed a long time ago. We look forward to opening our attraction every day of the season and spending our days with fantastic people from around the world. Success in life is about creating happiness not grifting others.”

The Boudreau’s have brought this theme of fighting back against the darkness of fear and hate directly into their new maze design which include a 300 foot long picture of a “Battle Unicorn” and they have also sculpted an 8 foot long Battle Unicorn sculpture which is hidden somewhere in their 24 acres of corn-fusion. They explain the Battle Unicorn like this, “Actual unicorns are rare, mythical creatures but Battle Unicorns exist within all of us. They are usually quiet and unseen but when darkness attempts to grow and spread - real life Battle Unicorns rise up and their bright light reveals that darkness has no teeth, no claws and no spine, if we don’t allow them to. Throughout history real life Battle Unicorns have risen up and fought for women’s right, the end to slavery, child protections, science over mysticism, safe working conditions, equal rights and basically most everything that we typically enjoy and take for granted now but at one time was considered woke”.

2025 will mark the 27th year that the Boudreau family have created and operated the Largest Maze attraction in New England which is typically visited by people from all over the world. “I don’t know if it’s the significant challenge of solving our massive maze (which can take up to and over 3 hours to solve) or maybe it’s because our farm is located in the Vermont Boonies down 3 miles of dirt road. Whatever the reason, we seem to get great people visiting our attraction and we get to spend our Summer surrounded by these people and their laughter and great attitudes.” Explains owner Mike.

The Boudreau’s attraction, the Great Vermont Corn Maze, opens July 26, 2025 and includes the Big Maze which can take 2-3 hours to solve and a smaller Sceinic Maze which takes about an hour. Both include a 3000 sq foot indoor blacklight maze located within the corn mazes, over 100 feet of bridges, an underground tunnel, World’s First Barnyard Gold, Pretendin Play Area and now a lifesize Battle Unicorn.
