Carroll and Twin Mountain - New Hampshire

Twin Mountain was incorporated in 1832 as the town of Carroll, which includes the villages of Twin Mountain, Bretton Woods, Fabyans, and Crawford. Early visitors explored the region on foot or on horseback. Fabyans was the main hub railroad service that delivered hundreds of visitors to the town each week and today offers year-round outdoor adventure for all to explore. Twin Mountain is the closest location to the west side of Mount Washington. There are multiple popular trailheads the begin in Twin Mountain, including the Mt. Washington Cog Railway’s base road. The Twin Mountain Fish Hatchery is a great spot to see trout the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department use to stock our local rivers and ponds.
