BOSTON (October 6, 2026) — Boston magazine today announced the winners of its 2026 New England Travel Awards, recognizing the accommodations, attractions, outdoor adventures, cultural destinations, and unforgettable experiences that make New England one of the country's premier travel destinations.
Featured in the October issue of Boston magazine, available now on newsstands and online at bostonmagazine.com, the awards showcase outstanding destinations from across Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. From luxury hotels and boutique inns to festivals, ski and golf resorts, breweries, wineries, museums, and more, the awards provide readers with an expertly curated guide to experiencing the very best of New England.
With fall foliage season underway, and winter travel just around the corner, the awards arrive as travelers begin planning some of the region's most popular getaways.
The winners were selected by a panel of local travel experts, including Chronicle co-anchor Shayna Seymour and Dining Playbook cohost/producer Jenny Johnson, who identified destinations that exemplify excellence, authenticity, and memorable experiences.
“New England is an incredible place to explore because it never really stays the same—every season gives you a new reason to get out and see it,” said Chris Vogel, Editor in Chief of Boston magazine. “The New England Travel Awards recognize the places that make this region worth exploring, while giving travelers plenty of ideas for where to go next.”
The 2026 awards span 37 categories, recognizing both excellence from the region's most popular destinations, as well as hidden gems that have become local favorites. Together, the winners reflect the incredible diversity of experiences available throughout New England, while serving as a trusted resource for travelers planning their next getaway.
The complete list of winners is available in the October issue of Boston magazine and online at https://www.bostonmagazine.com/travel/new-england-travel-awards-2026/.
