Glen, NH (June 30, 2026) – Story Land, New Hampshire’s Best Theme Park for Kids, is bringing back two beloved rides this summer as part of a multi-year investment plan to bring more rides, more hours, and more events to the popular White Mountains theme park. Story Land will kick off the Fourth of July weekend with the grand re-opening of Turtle Twirl this Thursday, July 2.
To celebrate Turtle Twirl’s grand re-opening, Story Land is hosting a party at 10:30 a.m. complete with cupcakes and complimentary tickets to the park’s sister property, Living Shores Aquarium, for the first 50 riders. Turtle Twirl first debuted at Story Land in 1996 and was moved to make way for the 2024 opening of the park’s largest capital investment ever, Moo Lagoon. Since Moo Lagoon’s opening, the park has had plans to bring back both the Turtle Twirl and fan favorite attraction, Crazy Barn, which will re-open later this summer.
“Our fans asked and we answered, the iconic Turtle Twirl is officially back and ready to delight riders of all ages,” said General Manager Chris Kearsing. “Bringing back this beloved attraction, along with Crazy Barn later this summer, is a crucial part of our commitment to provide our guests with the very best experience at Story Land.”
2026 also marks the park’s longest season ever with more days added to the calendar and the extension of operating hours until 6 p.m. throughout July and August. The festivities continue all weekend long as Story Land celebrates America’s 250th birthday with limited edition red, white, and blue Story Land stickers. The park will also offer patriotic food offerings throughout the weekend including a themed souvenir popcorn bucket and souvenir cup.
In honor of America’s 250th birthday and the return of Turtle Twirl and Crazy Barn, tickets are currently more than 45% off during the park’s July Fourth Sale. Visitors can purchase tickets for just $39.99 each when they buy four or more online.
