Bethlehem, NH — Film lovers in the North Country will have the chance to join audiences around the world for the 2026 Manhattan Short Film Festival, screening at The Colonial Theatre from Friday, October 2 through Sunday, October 4. Screenings will take place Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 2:00 p.m., and Sunday at 5:30 p.m.
Manhattan Short takes place at venues across the globe, bringing the same selection of short films to audiences from Sydney and Mumbai to Cape Town and communities across all 50 states. And the audiences get to be the judge.
Each ticket holder will have the opportunity to watch the festival finalists and cast a vote for their favorite, with votes from The Colonial counted alongside those from audiences around the world. The result is a truly global celebration of filmmaking and a chance for local moviegoers to have a say in which films come out on top.
This year’s selection brings together stories, filmmakers, and perspectives from around the world, including Small Talk, Life Goes On, When the Sea Was Calm, and Hai Davai, among others. From drama and comedy stories that cross cultures and borders, the festival offers the opportunity to discover an entire lineup of films in a single setting.
Each of The Colonial’s four screenings features the same complete selection of films, giving audiences several opportunities throughout the weekend to experience the festival and cast their votes.
Tickets are available now at BethlehemColonial.org.
