Glen, NH (August 10, 2026) - Story Land, New Hampshire’s Best Amusement Park for Kids, is gearing up for a magical fall season of events, including 12 Hero Appreciation Days, the park’s third annual Halloween event, Happy Hauntings, and Story Land’s second ever fall-themed Nostalgia Night.  

 

The fun begins August 24, when the park kicks off 12 days of free admission for heroes –  police, firefighters, EMS, emergency medical professionals, military, and veterans all enjoy free admission to the park August 24 through September 4. Their spouse and children under 18 can purchase tickets at the Story Land gates for just $29.99 each. Hero Appreciation Days conclude on September 4 when the park will welcome local police and fire personnel onsite for the annual Touch-A-Truck event.  

 

Happy Hauntings, New Hampshire’s Best New Way to Halloween, makes its grand return to Story Land on Saturday, September 19 for its third season. Featuring unique fall themed activities for the whole family to enjoy, Happy Hauntings is a whole new way to experience the magic of Story Land during New Hampshire’s beautiful fall season. Kids and adults alike will enjoy special Halloween themed shows, Pick & Paint a Pumpkin, a Fairy Tale Trick-or-Treat Trail, a Halloween Hay Maze, and more. Happy Hauntings is silly and spooky fun for the whole family, and will run for six weekends total, concluding the 2026 season on Sunday, October 25.  

 

Back by popular demand, Story Land will host a special fall themed Nostalgia Night, a fan-favorite after-hours event, on Saturday, October 10. Adults can play like kids again as the park opens its gates from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. exclusively for ages 21 and up. This legendary event will feature festive harvest themed drinks and seasonal bites, character meet and greets, plus everything nostalgic that the park has to offer, including Cinderella in her castle, classic rides, shows, and photo opportunities.
