CRANMORE MOUNTAIN RESORT (North Conway, NH) *Fireworks*

It’s Cranapalooza, bumped up a few extra, glowy notches! Cranmore Mountain Resort is hosting a NYE Cranapalooza Glo Party to help make New Year’s Eve one to remember. Boogie until well after dark. Then? It’s time to cheer on the epic fireworks show.

LOON MOUNTAIN RESORT (Lincoln, NH)

Ski all day and party all night? That sounds like our idea of a perfect lead-in to the New Year. Loon Mountain Resort in Lincoln, NH is hosting a 21+ New Year’s Eve Bash in their legendary Paul Bunyan Room complete with DJ That Ninjah, a midnight toast, and hot and cold hors-d’oeuvres.

Tickets: $30. Ages 21+. Must have valid ID. Shuttle service to select stops in Lincoln will be provided running 9:00PM – 1:30AM. Estimated shuttle loop time is 20 minutes; wait times may vary based on space available.

 

BRETTON WOODS SKI AREA (Bretton Woods, NH)

Celebrate 50 Years of Après at Bretton Woods Ski Area with their slopeside après offerings! Head to the 3rd level of the Bretton Woods Base Lodge over the holiday weekend – you’ll find live music, giveaways, vendors, and promos at the Slopeside Pub.

12/28 – 12/31, plus additional dates throughout ski season. Promos from 2pm – 4pm. Entertainment from 2 – 5pm.

 

GUNSTOCK MOUNTAIN RESORT (Gilford, NH)

Center yourself before the start of the new year and attend Alpine Church as the summit of Gunstock Mountain Resort. This nonprofit, nondenominational outdoor church experience meets at Upper Gunstock (off the of summit, on the right side of the trail).

WATERVILLE VALLEY RESORT (Waterville Valley, NH)

We’ve been craving an après ski bash since skiing wrapped for the season last spring.  Partake in the party and enjoy live music while you’re at it – The Freestyle Louge at Waterville Valley Ski Resort is hosting two free celebrations over two fun days.

Après Ski Party with Live Music: 12/30/23 (3 – 6pm) and 12/31/23 (1 – 4pm & 5 – 8pm).

TOWN OF WATERVILLE VALLEY (Waterville Valley, NH) *Fireworks*

Waterville Valley is your western White Mountains hub for New Year’s frivolity. Keep scrolling for the celebratory lineup…

Kick off the (almost) new year with Kids Night Out, a drop-off event where kids can revel in gym games and crafting activities hosted by the Waterville Valley Recreation Department. What will parents do while their kiddos play? We’d suggest a dinner date night at one of the valley’s nearby restaurants.

Kids Night Out: 12/30/23, 6 – 8pm. $35 per kid. 

A glittering display of fireworks over Corcoran Pond is the perfect way to bid adieu to last year and start anew. Meet you at Waterville Valley’s Town Square?

GREAT GLEN TRAILS OUTDOOR CENTER (Gorham, NH)

Granted, it’s technically a few days before the new year, but we can’t hold ourselves back from celebrating! Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center is hosting a series of Guided Snowshoe Tours, including one scheduled for the afternoon of 12/30. Leave the navigating to the pros – you can spend your time enjoying our White Mountains winter wonderland.

NH STATE PARKS (Various Locations)

Step into a new year filled with adventure! NH State Parks will keep your resolution strong from day one with their statewide First Day Hikes. We have two to pick from in our neck of the woods: Weeks State Park (Lancaster, NH) and White Lake State Park (Tamworth, NH).

THE NOTCH HOSTEL (North Woodstock, NH)

Cozy up to The Notch Hostel’s Winter Fireside Chats series.

On Saturday, 12/30, Philip Carcia (of @findingphilip fame) will be at this hikers’ mainstay in North Woodstock, NH for “Northeast Ultra 8 in 8”. This exciting presentation covers Carcia’s pursuit of the Northeast’s 8 most difficult trails in 8 consecutive days, and it’s capped off by a sunrise hike up Mount Jackson in Crawford Notch the following morning.

EAGLE MOUNTAIN HOUSE (Jackson, NH)

Ring in the new year with four divine courses. Eagle Mountain House’s Eagle Landing Tavern is hosting a New Year’s Eve Dinner with an exclusive holiday menu that ranges from the likes of lobster bisque and a roasted beet and squash salad to decadent offerings like surf and turf, braised lamb shank, chicken saltimbocca, and wild mushroom fettucine. To properly cap it off, diners can take their pick of a classic vanilla cheesecake or lean into the decadence before their resolutions kick in with a lava cake or sticky toffee cake.

FRANCONIA INN (Franconia, NH)

If firepits, a champagne toast, and a New Years rung in north of the notches sounds like your nirvana, head to the Franconia Inn. There’s no entry fee to enjoy the frivolity found in Peaks Pub, and there are plenty of dinners, drinks, live music, and decorations to keep you smiling well past midnight.

Revelers can take their pick of two options when it comes dining and celebrating. The New Year’s Eve Party and Dinner Celebration is an all-out bash.
