A slopeside solar soiree is our idea of heaven on earth. Eclipse Fest comes to Cannon Mountain on April 8th, and you're invited! Ski and ride before the big event, dance to live music, and shop local artists and vendors to help raise money for Adaptive Sports Partners! More details coming soon.
This event will be free for season pass holders, but you must register in advance so we can send you an event ticket. If you are NOT a season pass holder, you must purchase a lift ticket for the day or an event ticket to attend.
CRANMORE MOUNTAIN RESORT (North Conway, NH)
The April 8th Solar Eclipse is coming up fast! In North Conway, Cranmore Mountain Resort will being experiencing 98% totality. This once-in-a-lifetime affair deserves an incredible viewing location, so book your ticket to join the celebration at the summit of Cranmore for a viewing party and activities at the Meister Hut.

Cranmore Mountain is closed for operations - no skinning or hiking is permitted during closed hours. All participants must take the lift up and down for the viewing. This is not a free event for season pass holders; all participants must have registered for the event.
LOON MOUNTAIN RESORT (Lincoln, NH)
Ski and ride through the path of totality, and have a totally awesome time at Loon Mountain Resort! On April 8, Loon will be open lift-serviced skiing and snowboarding—and will extend lift operating hours by one hour. Maximum coverage of the sun (aka totality) is projected to occur at 3:29pm.
Gondola Skyride will offer non-skiing guests access to the top of Loon Peak starting at 1:45pm. A limited number of Gondola Skyride tickets will be available for purchase starting March 15 and must be purchased online in advance.
MT. WASHINGTON AUTO ROAD (Gorham, NH)
View the event of the year (or dare we say, the next 55 years?) from one of the most epic spots around: the Mt. Washington Auto Road! Guests can book a guided tour for this once in a lifetime eclipse watching experience, but seating is limited, so stay tuned to the Auto Road’s website for more details.
MOUNT WASHINGTON COG RAILWAY (Bretton Woods, NH)
Are you of the mindset that 99.4% is close enough? Ride the Eclipse Special to Waumbek Station on the Mount Washington Cog Railway!
The Cog may be just outside of the Zone of Totality, but the spectacular panoramic view of the western sky from 4000' (as well as warming huts, a blazing fire pit, complimentary hot refreshments, special viewing glasses, and a historic train ride) sounds pretty fantastic.
The Eclipse Special leaves Marshfield Base Station, rain or shine, at 2:00 on Monday, April 8, with a return to Marshfield at the conclusion of the event. Purchase tickets for April 8 at 2:00 from our website at thecog.com

The Believe in Books Literacy Foundation will be hosting a "Solar Eclipse In the Wood" event located at their new Amphitheater! This special event is free and open to the public. BIBLF will have games, free books from the book mobile, a food truck, bar and a live performance from the local band "Powerline Country".
CASTLE IN THE CLOUDS (Moultonboro, NH)
Are you ready for an Eclipse Watch Party at Castle in the Clouds? We can’t think of a more exciting and historic pairing than being on the grounds of the historic Lucknow Estate while the moon obscures the sun. Even better? Astronomers from the New Hampshire Astronomical Society will be onsite with their solar telescopes to provide some perspective on this awe-inspiring event.

On the big day itself, April 8th, the inn is hosting an Eclipse Outdoor Viewing Party complete with a BBQ featuring Moon Burgers, Sun Burgers, Sun Chips, themed beverages and MOON PIES for Dessert! Themed music throughout, commemorative viewing glasses, commemorative t-shirt for purchase, dinner and drink special that evening at the restaurant.

LEAGUE OF NH CRAFTSMEN (Littleton, NH)
Watching the solar eclipse is a beautiful, mind-expanding event. We’d say the same for “Eclipse Visions: Art in the Shadow of the Sun”, a special exhibit showcasing the solar-inspired works of NH’s finest jewelers, photographers, potters, and more. Visit “Eclipse Visions” April 1st – April 30th at the League of NH Craftsmen in Littleton, NH during regular gallery hours (Wednesdays – Mondays, 10am – 5pm).
MOUNT WASHINGTON OBSERVATORY (Various Locations)
There are numerous ways to experience this epic phenomenon with the Mount Washington Observatory leading up to and on eclipse day, including numerous distance learning opportunities geared toward the history and science of eclipses as well as viewing tips, an exhibit of MWOBS astrophotography at Omni Mount Washington Resort, a community science program in Pittsburg, NH in collaboration with Citizen Continental-America Telescope Eclipse, and more!

OMNI MOUNT WASHINGTON RESORT (Bretton Woods, NH)
It's a Solarbration of epic proportions! The Omni Mount Washington Resort is hosting an unforgettable celestial spectacle April 6th - 8th, culminating in a viewing party on the front veranda from 2:30 - 4:30pm. Attendees will receive free viewing glasses to safely watch this solar event, but keep in mind the Omni has lots of great events leading up to the big one too (like eclipse cupcake decorating, Solarbration Bingo, a Make Your Own Moon Sand activity, and more).
OWL'S NEST RESORT (Campton, NH)
Celebrate the eclipse at Owl's Nest Resort. You can spend all day enjoying Owl's Nest's amenities, like indoor golf simulators, platform tennis, a heated pool, and jacuzzi, before the main event: a Solar Fest bash at PanoramaSix82! This fete will have it all - food, drinks, and classic yard games like cornhole and Polish horseshoes plus live music from Rebecca Turmel and Brendan Gill.

TANGER OUTLETS TILTON (Tilton, NH)
Tilton, NH falls in the path of complete totality during the upcoming solar eclipse on Monday, April 8, and Tanger Outlets Tilton plans to celebrate this rare event with a special Solar Eclipse Viewing Party for the community from 2 – 4:30 p.m. Guests are invited to join the fun in the Lakes Region area and receive a complimentary pair of solar eclipse glasses and space-themed snacks, while supplies last. Outdoor games, themed music and prizes will add to the festivities.

Join Tin Mountain on April 8, 2024 for our Solar Eclipse Viewing Party! Tin Mountain Conservation Center and the Jackson Ski Touring Foundation is hosting a community viewing party from 2pm until 4pm at the Jackson Ski Touring Lodge in Jackson, NH. There will be simulations of the eclipse process and viewing glasses will be available for purchase.

TOWN OF NORTH CONWAY (North Conway, NH)
Spice up your Sunday snacking with the North Conway Chili Cookoff! The Mt. Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce has pulled out all the stops for this savory soiree held the day before the solar eclipse. Professional and amateur chefs alike have been challenged with creating their most epic chili - won't you cast your vote for the People's Choice Award? There will also be giveaways for Hannaford Gift Baskets and Gift Cards, plus Solar Eclipse glasses available for purchase onsite too.

WREN LOCAL WORKS MARKETPLACE & GALLERY (Bethlehem, NH)
Get ready for a “Total Eclipse of the Art!”. WREN’s latest exhibition is a clever take on all things solar and celestial, and you’re invited to attend the opening on Friday, March 8th at 5pm. “Total Eclipse of the Art” showcases the dark sky photographs of Douglas Arion, emeritus professor and dark sky defender, as well as the eclipse-themed pieces from over 20 WREN members.
Can’t make it to the opening? You can view this show all through Friday, March 12th, and purchase a piece to commemorate your own solar eclipse experience.
