CONWAY SCENIC RAILROAD (North Conway, NH) 

All aboard for April Vacation Week fun! The Conway Scenic Railroad is running a limited Valley Train excursion on select dates (plus weekends through Memorial Day). The 1-hour heritage Valley Train excursion makes a round trip to Conway, offering visitors the opportunity to experience classic train travel as it was in the mid-20th century.

All trains depart from the historic North Conway Railroad station built in 1874, located at Norcross Circle in the center of North Conway Village.

ENFIELD SHAKER MUSEUM (Enfield, NH)

Get into the spring spirit with the Vintage Bloom and Bouquet Bar at the Enfield Shaker Museum. This charming event, hosted by expert floral designer Jennifer French, will lead you through the fundamentals of floral design and arranging as you enjoy light libations and immerse yourself in Enfield's peaceful landscape. 

Friday, 4/18, 6 - 8pm. TicketsL $60 (members), $68 (nonmembers). Class is limited to 20 participants. Advance registration is required. All proceeds from this workshop go to support the educational mission of Enfield Shaker Museum. For more information, visit the Museum's website

 

THE FLYING MONKEY MOVIE HOUSE & PERFORMANCE CENTER (Plymouth, NH)

If you can’t quite decide when to visit during Vacation Week, plan your trip around your favorite performer or movie. The Flying Monkey Movie House & Performance Center in Plymouth, NH has an impressive lineup that extends all the way through the end of April. Upcoming must-sees include FernGully: The Last Rainforest (Wednesday, 4/23 at 6pm), Waterworld (Thursday, 4/24 at 6pm), and The Trichomes & Club d'Elf (Saturday, 4/26 at 7:30pm).

What are we most excited for, though? Frank Santos, Jr., an R-Rated Hypnotist (leave the kiddos home, of course!) on Friday, 4/19, and a moving performance of "Queen  Elizabeth II - 'Her Majesty'" on Friday, 4/25.

INDIAN HEAD RESORT (LINCOLN, NH)

Get mystical this April Vacation - the Spirit Gallery with Psychic Medium Brandie Wells makes its way to Indian Head Resort! With her intuition, love, and respect, Brandie will connect you with spirit guides, angels, animal totems, and loved ones who have passed on. This event is open to the public.

Did you know Saturday, 4/26 is Indie Bookstore Day? Celebrate one of the best days of the year at The Little Village Toy & Book Shop! Enjoy giveaways, a a Bookish Storytime with a take-home craft, a special Blind Date with a Book, and exclusive editions and merchandise. If you're still in town the next day (Sunday, 4/27), swing in for a dog-themed storytime with special guests Ashley LaRoche and Lilly the Dog at 11am. 

 

MT. WASHINGTON AUTO ROAD (Gorham, NH)

Greet a new season with a remarkable look at what’s left over from winter. The Mt. Washington Auto Road is hosting a Spring Adventure Tour that will take you 4,800 feet above sea level to the iconic Cragway Drift, a section of the road that can receive up to 25 feet of snow in a season. Your trip doesn’t go all the way to the summit, but 5.4 miles will still get you well above tree line and perfectly set up for a special glimpse of the Auto Road’s one-of-a-kind spring road clearing process.

SEVEN BIRCHES WINERY (Lincoln, NH) 

Sip some of the finest local wine at Seven Birches Winery, and paint a wine glass or bottle while you're at it! This creative activity is availble during open hours, Thursdays and Sundays in April.

TWIN BARNS BREWING CO. NORTH TAPROOM (North Woodstock, NH)

Tap into the live music scene and sample a few different beers at Twin Barns Brewing Co.’s North Taproom while you enjoy the sounds of Ciera MacKenzie.

Saturday, 4/19, 5 - 8pm.

 

WOODSTOCK INN BREWERY (North Woodstock, NH) 

Live music and karaoke, as well as an extensive menu and delicious beers on tap, will keep you well entertained at the Woodstock Inn Brewery over April Vacation Week.

Live Band: 8:30pm - 11:30pm on Saturday, 4/19 and Friday, 4/25. Karaoke: 8:30pm - 11:30pm on Tuesday, 4/22.
